The directions are clear, the pictures are informative and as promised there are different double-sided Tunisian crochet patterns. I absolutely recommend this book if you are a fan of Tunisian crochet/5(20). I thought this book was for use with the "On the Double" double ended crochet hooks created by Annie's Attic but it is not.

This is merely a book of really nice afghan patterns using DOUBLE THREAD. This book was originally published in - way before Annie's came up with the double ended crochet hook idea/5(50).

This book is exactly what is says on the cover, a book of double-ended hook stitches, a stitch reference guide. The reason you use a double ended hook is so you can create stitches that are reversible or look good both sides. By working 2 rows of Tunisian Crochet and then turning the work and working 2 more you end up with the same look both sides/5(60).

Fab. ~Kathleen Rachel thinks The Best of Interweave Crochet is great for beginner crocheters and advanced crocheters alike. 1 Crochet the foundation chain: Multiply the number of spaces in the row by When you read a filet-crochet chart, each space in the chart is actually three stitches.

This means that each row of filet crochet has a multiple of 3 stitches plus 1 double crochet at the end to complete the last space or block. This video tutorial demonstrates how to crochet the herringbone double crochet, a variation of the US double crochet stitch (known as the double treble stitch in the UK).

This simple variation creates a gentle texture on your crochet fabric while maintaining an excellent drape. This stitch is perfect for an advanced beginner hoping to learn a new stitch pattern.

For double crochet, ch 2, insert the hook into the back bump of the 2 nd chain from the hook, yarn over and pull up a loop, insert hook into stitch at base of chain, yarn over and pull up a loop.

You now have 3 loops on your hook. (Yarn over, pull through 2 loops) 2 times to complete the double crochet.Insert your needle in the same spot of the corresponding double crochet on the second piece and draw it out of the top of the double crochet.

(Refer to part b of the preceding figure.) Pull the yarn to draw the 2 pieces together, but not so tight that the fabric puckers.Find and save ideas about crocheting on Pinterest.
